Step 1: Preparing Surface
Surface
must be clean and free of dirt, grease, and wax. Use glass cleaner and a dry
cloth to remove dirt and grease.Notes: Newly
painted surfaces must be aged at least 36 hours.
Step 2:
Positioning Graphics
With a pencil draw horizontal and vertical
guidelines in the area you wish to apply your graphic.
Step 3: Remove Graphic from Wax
Liner
Turn graphic face down on a surface that is free from dirt and
grease. With the graphic face down, carefully peel the wax liner away.
Step 4: Apply Graphic
Place the
taped graphic on the prepared guidelines. Firmly squeegee the graphic to force
the bubbles out. Start in the center and work your way out. It is very important
to provide firm even pressure with the squeegee. Be careful to avoid wrinkles
and bubbles by squeegeeing a small area with a firm overlapping stroke.
Step 5: Remove Premask Tape
After
the graphic has been applied, remove the premask tape by peeling it back slowly
at a 180 degree angle to the surface.
Step 6: The Finished Product
If
an air bubble should appear, simply puncture it with a pin and squeegee lightly
to remove the air.
